Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Remote

Overview

WSP is seeking a highly motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience to work on various projects across Ontario and potentially across the country, serving as a trusted advisor and technical expert on engineering design challenges.

In Short

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Manage site investigations, soil and rock sampling, and geotechnical analysis.
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, designs, and recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Stay current with advancements in geotechnical engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Registered or eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and ground improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools.
• Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
