Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Remote

Overview

This position is open for hybrid or remote working arrangements in the US. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will work on complex projects involving the permitting, management, remediation, modification, and closure of industrial waste impoundments, water and tailings dams, and contaminated sites.

In Short

• Support conceptual design and construction of geoenvironmental remediation systems.
• Assess dam safety and management practices.
• Perform construction quantity takeoffs and cost estimating.
• Develop engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Conduct geotechnical calculations including seepage and slope stability assessments.
• Provide inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Develop proposals with detailed scopes and budgets.
• Supervise less experienced engineers on projects.
• Contribute to business development.
• Prepare workplans and client reports.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in geotechnical and/or geoenvironmental design.
• Working knowledge of State and Federal Environmental Regulations.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Ability to travel internationally.
• Proficiency with design software (e.g., ArcGIS, GeoSlope).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
