Overview

The Area Sales Manager will manage the sales process of da Vinci® Surgical Systems into new hospitals and upgrades into existing hospitals, driving sales and building relationships with key stakeholders.

In Short

  • Manage complex sales processes for da Vinci® Surgical Systems.
  • Build support from surgeons and hospital administration.
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets.
  • Develop and execute a local sales plan.
  • Organize and manage the sales process effectively.
  • Develop relationships with hospital CEOs and senior administrators.
  • Manage the transition from sale to installation.
  • Build surgical advocacy teams at hospitals.
  • Resolve contractual issues related to sales.
  • Handle communications and follow-up.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in healthcare or capital sales.
  • Knowledge of the operating room environment.
  • Proven track record in capital medical equipment sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Sales management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Experience in introducing new technologies is a plus.
