Medical Director (Part Time Remote Role)

Overview

The Medical Director is responsible for medical oversight, direction, and leadership of the medical staff regarding all areas of healthcare for the project, providing support to WASS AAR in fulfilling contract requirements.

In Short

• Perform scheduled OCONUS medical surveys and site medical assessments.
• Ensure adequate medical services at all OCONUS locations.
• Author and approve medical protocols for AAR WASS Flight Medics.
• Support planning and execution of aeromedical evacuations.
• Oversee aeromedical emergency medical equipment and supplies.
• Contribute to budgetary estimates and medical plans.
• Maintain controlled substances in compliance with federal law.
• Provide emergency availability for program personnel.
• Advise on return to duty for aircrew.
• Ensure compliance with USG policy and local protocols.

Requirements

• Full unrestricted U.S. Medical Licensure in a US State.
• Current DEA registration number.
• Ten years of clinical experience in aviation medicine.
• Experience as a Military Flight Surgeon.
• Executive-level interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of advanced trauma care.
• Knowledge of advanced cardiology treatment protocols.
• Experience in maintaining sanitary requirements in remote locations.
