• Review applications for Excess insurance and evaluate to determine coverage acceptance.
• Determine coverage levels and pricing based on risk characteristics.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and execute strategies for profitability.
• Approve or decline applications within limits and prepare referrals for higher risks.
• Ensure compliance with industry and government regulations.
• Document underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Provide recommendations to clients to reduce risk exposure.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team for efficient application processing.
• Utilize databases for data verification and risk comparison.
• Respond to customer needs with tailored guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of underwriting or related insurance experience.
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or Property & Casualty Brokers License is a plus.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry software.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Strong desire to learn and explore new ideas.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
