Designer (Systems) - Remote

Overview

Insomniac is looking for a new Designer. In this role you will be responsible for developing designs for systems for an assigned project and implements these designs in game.

In Short

• Creates clear and concise written technical documentation, visual design materials, and verbal presentations.
• Designs and develops player interactions and systems for a single player environment.
• Technical scripting and hands-on implementation within the editor.
• Develops and implements game systems such as economy, balance, and progression.
• Implements gameplay and game structure; collaborates with the Gameplay Programming team.
• Addresses bugs and gameplay issues to ensure a stable product.
• Assesses progress, quality, and user-friendliness via usability testing.
• Provides constructive feedback and finds opportunities to increase product quality.
• Helps create consistent implementation of gameplay by defining best practices.
• Familiarity with Excel, Visual Scripting, Houdini, and Python scripting is a plus.
