Data Visualization Specialist - Public Trust Clearance - Remote

Overview

Initiate Government Solutions (IGS) is a fully remote IT services provider focused on delivering innovative Enterprise IT and Health Services solutions across the federal sector. We are currently seeking a Data Visualization Specialist to support our work with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

In Short

• Remote position with daily remote work.
• Hands-on experience with various data visualization tools.
• Design and develop interactive and static data visualizations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to tailor visualizations to their needs.
• Ensure visualizations meet design and usability standards.
• Optimize visualizations for performance and usability.
• Support ad-hoc requests as needed.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust.
• Some travel may be required for onsite meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in statistics, data science, or related fields.
• Three plus years of experience in statistical analysis and visualization of clinical data.
• Proficient in R, R Shiny, and Python.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and visualization packages.
• Experience with biomedical data and medical research tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience with grant-funded scientific research projects.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Must have an active VA Public Trust or be able to obtain one.
