Overview

The Event Planner supports internal and external events across the foundation, providing project management, logistics support, and on-site management to events of all sizes.

In Short

  • Independently lead and support logistics for 10-20 smaller events annually.
  • Assist the Events Director in planning logistics for larger events.
  • Research, document, and organize event planning processes.
  • Support management of event spaces in Seattle, Pasco, and future locations.
  • Recruit and build relationships with event vendors.
  • Ensure event planning aligns with Inatai’s values.
  • Work in the office with potential for remote work up to two days per week.
  • Periodic early morning, evening, and weekend hours required.
  • Statewide and regional travel expected.
  • Prioritize candidates based in specific counties in Washington.

Requirements

  • Experience in event planning and logistics management.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Willingness to travel across Washington state.
  • Commitment to racial justice and equity.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Experience in a nonprofit or philanthropic environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the local event landscape in Washington.
