The role involves supporting the Geomagnetism Program at the US Geological Survey by planning, configuring, and implementing complex data acquisition and management systems, along with software development tasks.

In Short

• Support the Geomagnetism Program with data acquisition and management systems.

Requirements

• Must have experience in Java (not JavaScript).
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with shell scripting and Git.
• Familiarity with container and cloud programming is preferred.
• Ability to create and modify software for data processing.
• Experience in developing web services for automation.
• Skills in documentation of software and applications.
• Ability to conduct performance testing of software.
• Experience in developing real-time data acquisition applications.
• Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.
