Engineer - PTM Production Systems - Remote

Overview

The role is based in TAS, Chennai within the Remote Monitoring Remote operations team under Production optimization vertical, focusing on supporting Shell’s CBM assets for Surveillance, Diagnostics, and Well-Optimization activities remotely.

In Short

• Carry out surveillance of Wells using EBS tools for Proactive Technical Monitoring.
• Accountable for frontline wells and production systems monitoring.
• Responsible for downhole failure identification and advising on well completion design changes.
• Conduct well failure diagnostics and production optimization activities.
• Manage stakeholder expectations with respect to deliverables and KPIs.
• Network with counterparts and develop external networks.
• Promote lessons learned opportunities to enhance monitoring.
• Collaborate with production engineers to execute actions in the field.
• Utilize in-house tools for monitoring performance of wells.
• Engage in continuous learning and development within the role.

Requirements

• University Degree in Petroleum/Chemical Engineering or Production Engineering.
• Experience in Drilling & Completions/Production operations.
• Exposure to Coalbed Methane or Artificial Lift systems is advantageous.
• Experience in remote monitoring of wells and subsea facilities.
• Knowledge of rotating machines and process performance monitoring.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Aptitude for a learner mindset.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
