Overview

The Head of Events is a critical role in the strategic execution of IDOC’s current and future events program. Responsible for developing and evolving IDOC’s current events strategy, identifying future events opportunities and identifying subject matter and narrative for events execution.

In Short

  • Develop and evolve IDOC’s events strategy.
  • Engage with Senior Leadership and stakeholders for event execution.
  • Accountable for the events budget of $1m+.
  • Establish marketing frameworks for events.
  • Lead creative direction and timely delivery of events.
  • Manage event lead generation and attendee satisfaction.
  • Oversee two direct reports: Events Manager and Events Coordinator.
  • Ensure integration of strategic priorities into events.
  • Negotiate contracts with venues and suppliers.
  • Evaluate event performance and create reporting frameworks.

Requirements

  • Experience in event planning and strategy development.
  • Strong budget management skills.
  • Ability to manage and support team members.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotion strategies.
  • Expertise in event execution and logistics management.
  • Ability to negotiate favorable terms with vendors.
  • Experience in evaluating and reporting on event success.
  • Proactive in staying current with industry trends.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
