Junior Cyber Security Support Analyst - Remote

Overview

This is an entry-level to junior cybersecurity role that supports compliance, documentation, and system integration efforts under the guidance of senior engineers and program leads.

In Short

• Support automation and documentation efforts to enforce STIG controls.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of RMF documentation.
• Support CSfC solution integration tasks.
• Help coordinate security testing and support A&A activities.
• Participate in meetings with various customer organizations.
• Perform cyber hygiene checks and assist in vulnerability management tasks.
• Maintain accurate records for ongoing audits.
• Learn and apply DoD cybersecurity policies and NIST guidance.
• Engage with government agencies and technology partners.
• Gain exposure to product lifecycle and configuration management activities.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT roles.
• Exposure to RMF, CSfC, STIGs, NIST 800-53, or DoD cyber policy.
• Basic scripting or automation experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Experience in federal or DoD environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with compliance tracking tools is desired.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus.
