Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

ICF is seeking a Data Engineer to help bring new data insights to a government agency focused on improving child welfare. This role involves custom software development, analytics, and maintenance on web-based applications.

In Short

• Fully remote position with occasional in-person meetings.
• Build and optimize an AWS-based data lake for AI/ML initiatives.
• Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines.
• Perform data profiling, transformation, and enrichment.
• Develop custom reports and data visualizations.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business teams.
• Support project delivery on Data lake and BI projects.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the Washington, DC Metro Area.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
• Obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in Data engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS data services.
• 6+ years of experience in SQL and programming, preferably in Python.
• Experience with BI Tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
• Experience with cloud integration tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• AWS certification is a plus.
• Experience in agile development environments.
