Senior Project Infrastructure/Transportation Engineer - Remote

Overview

ICC is seeking a project engineer to join our team of Consulting Engineers. Our Consulting Engineering team oversees infrastructure management projects across North America, ranging from pavement condition assessments to right-of-way (ROW) asset inventories. We deploy state-of-the-art technologies to collect objective and repeatable data, and we use this data to develop maintenance and rehabilitation recommendations for our clients.

In Short

• Provides engineering-level review of requests for proposal (RFPs), proposals, and draft scopes of work prior to contract finalization.
• Develops data dictionaries and data quality management plans (DQMP) for projects.
• Implements pavement management systems (PMS) for clients.
• Engages with municipal, county, and DOT clients to recommend improvements.
• Prepares and reviews deliverables and technical project reports.
• Provides guidance on best engineering practices.
• Contributes as a subject matter expert (SME) to cross-functional teams.
• Communicates with executive management regarding project issues.
• Oversees process documentation and improvement.
• Contributes to sales and marketing initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be flexible with work hours according to business needs.
• Must have good internet connectivity for working at home.
• May be occasionally required to travel.
• Master's degree or higher in civil engineering.
• 10 years minimum experience in engineering roles.
• Currently possesses a Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Demonstrated experience in a management or leadership role.
• Project management experience is preferred.
• Expertise with Word, Excel, Access, SQL, and GIS/GPS.
• Python skills would be an asset.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
