Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure Transformation - Remote

Overview

The Infrastructure Transformation team within HashiCorp’s Internal Platform Services organization is at the forefront of redefining how we operate and support our internal customers. By driving large-scale infrastructure advancements, we design, develop, and deploy forward-thinking solutions that provide the foundation for HashiCorp’s cloud products.

In Short

• Perform hands-on coding, configurations, and deployment of tools and services to improve infrastructure delivery, performance and scalability.
• Work cross-functionally with Internal Platform Engineering teams to align infrastructure solutions with technical and business requirements.
• Lead and contribute to multiple concurrent projects, focusing on key business initiatives, abstractions, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Design, develop, and implement effective solutions which benefit the entire platform and align with business objectives.
• Mentor and enable other software engineers through the creation of detailed documentation and runbooks.
• Advocate for ongoing improvements across the infrastructure platform.
• Leverage technical program management expertise to deliver program success.
• Regularly adapt to new platforms, technologies, and areas of focus.

Requirements

• Professional backend software development experience in cloud environments.
• Experience operating AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud infrastructure.
• Comfortable with microservices architectures.
• Proficient in infrastructure management and operations lifecycle concepts.
• Experience building and supporting production infrastructure for large-scale SaaS applications.
• Strong understanding of platform engineering.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Enthusiastic about adopting the HashiCorp way of building systems.
• Experience using source management tools like Git.
• Willing and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
