Overview

The Senior Surveying Legal Calculator is responsible for completing legal boundary calculations using various CAD software packages and preparing deliverables at IBW.

In Short

Complete boundary calculations
Complete 1st Draft Reviews for legal plans
Check plans with signing OLS and drafting staff
Complete plan closures
Calculate reference plans
Prepare calculation sketches
Consult with Project Manager and Team Lead as needed
Ensure legal calculations meet recognized principles
Follow IBW protocols for CAD and quality control
Recognize when more evidence or consultation is required

Requirements

Knowledge of legal boundary principles
Experience with CAD software
Strong research skills
Ability to assess metes and bounds descriptions
Excellent communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Understanding of AOLS and IBW standards
Ability to prepare files for fieldwork
Experience in a surveying or legal environment
Team player with a commitment to company values
