Finance Manager - Remote

Overview

The Finance Manager will lead financial operations within a faith-based organization, overseeing a finance team and ensuring compliance with Australian standards.

• Lead and supervise a finance team.
• Manage month-end close processes and cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Prepare financial reports for the Board and Executive team.
• Oversee payroll management with confidentiality.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Xero.
• Continuously improve financial systems and processes.
• Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector is a plus.
• Work remotely with an EOR service.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of finance/accounting experience.
• At least 12 months in a leadership role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Xero.
• Strong command of MS Excel and Google Suite.
• Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Attributes: Honest, reliable, adaptable, collaborative.
• Experience in the NFP, Charity, or Religious sector is a bonus.
