Overview

The AU Bookkeeper/Virtual Assistant will provide comprehensive bookkeeping and administrative support to a creative agency in Queensland, Australia, while working remotely from the Philippines.

In Short

• Maintain financial records including accounts payable and receivable.
• Process payroll in compliance with Australian tax laws.
• Draft BAS for GST and PAYGW.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting.
• Provide general administrative support including email and calendar management.
• Assist with data entry and report generation.
• Coordinate communication with clients and vendors.
• Manage digital files and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Work independently and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably with Australian clients.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Understanding of Australian tax regulations and payroll processing.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Relevant accounting or bookkeeping certifications are desirable.
