Humana’s IT Enterprise Observability Engineering team is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in observability platforms, cloud-native development, and systems engineering. This role blends the design, development, and optimization of observability.

In Short

• Integrate AI/ML models into observability pipelines.
• Support and enhance Splunk Cloud Platform.
• Design and implement observability solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations across observability platforms.
• Build and optimize dashboards and alerts.
• Collaborate with platform teams for CI/CD integration.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Work independently and lead technical initiatives.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in observability solutions.
• 2+ years’ experience with AI/ML integration.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, Go, Java).
• Experience with observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Understanding of distributed systems and telemetry pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and SRE principles preferred.
