The Utilization Management Behavioral Health Professional 2 utilizes behavioral health knowledge and skills to support the coordination, documentation, and communication of medical services and/or benefit administration determinations.

In Short

  • Utilizes behavioral health knowledge for service coordination.
  • Requires independent determination of appropriate actions.
  • Coordinates with providers and members for optimal care.
  • Must have Master's level clinician with independent licensure in Louisiana.
  • 1+ year of managed care experience required.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills required.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week, with potential overtime.
  • Must reside in Louisiana.
  • Experience with Utilization Management preferred.
  • Bilingual skills in English/Spanish are a plus.

Requirements

  • Master's level clinician with independent licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC).
  • 1+ year of managed care experience.
  • Experience with MCG and ASAM criteria.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with electronic medical records.
  • Experience in acute or outpatient behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of community health agencies is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to work from a dedicated space at home.
  • Must meet internet service requirements for remote work.
