Optical Network Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Optical Network Engineer will support the installation planning and execution of network equipment, including site migrations, feature testing, and software upgrades, both remotely and on-site.

In Short

• Support new site and equipment installation planning.
• Assist in site migration and swap planning.
• Provide remote or on-site support for NE installation and expansion.
• Conduct feature tests in lab and on-site environments.
• Support software upgrades for NE and ASON operations.

• Follow internal regulations for project implementation.

Requirements

• Experience with Optical Networks and DCN equipment.
• Knowledge of HLD/LLD preparation and migration planning.
• Familiarity with network management systems (NMS).
• Ability to conduct technical tests and document results.
• Strong communication skills for customer and subcontractor interaction.
• Experience in software upgrade processes.
• Ability to follow internal project delivery management tools.
• Technical problem-solving skills.
