Overview

As a Ruby on Rails Developer at Housecall Pro, you will design, develop, and deploy features for our core applications while ensuring performance and quality.

In Short

• Design, develop, and deploy features for Housecall Pro’s core Ruby/RoR applications.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Work with product management to refine initial concepts that deliver customer delight.
• Build and execute server-side A/B tests to increase business metrics.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Develop and maintain code quality standards.
• Write automated tests at the appropriate architectural level.
• Conduct code reviews for features developed by other team members.
• Maintain and improve our continuous integration and development environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in programming Rails applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Ruby and Rails.
• Theoretical understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working experience with Sidekiq.
• Practical understanding of SOLID principles.
• Interest in writing clean, extendable code.
• Fluent in English.
• Committed to work, open to feedback, and eager to share knowledge.
