Program Manager - Remote

Overview

The Hoplite Group, a Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in defense-oriented solutions, is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager to support an ongoing Department of Defense (DoD) initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record managing programs within the federal contracting space, especially in DoD environments. This role requires a leader with excellent organization and communication skills, as well as experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and time zones.

In Short

• Serve as the principal Program Manager, responsible for organizing, directing, and managing a dispersed team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Oversee the full program lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, delivery, and closure.
• Provide strategic direction and ensure all program deliverables meet technical and contractual requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders and partner companies.
• Collaborate with Finance Team to support cost estimation and manage vendor portal requirements.
• Track project progress using Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
• Support the Recruiting Team in identifying and vetting qualified candidates.
• Deliver concise weekly and monthly reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure quality, risk mitigation, and compliance with DoD standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) in a leadership role.
• 3+ years of program management experience across all program lifecycle phases.
• Proven experience delivering federal services in complex DoD environments.
• Experience with federal contracting processes, including FAR compliance.
• Familiarity with ITAR and FMS processes preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver high-quality reports.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite and program management tools.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
