In Short

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports, ensuring the highest quality standards.
• Design, develop, and implement automated testing frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage of testing.
• Conduct thorough manual testing where automation is not feasible, focusing on complex and high-risk functionalities.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to identify, report, and track defects, and verify their resolution.
• Stay abreast of new testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve the testing process.
• Participate in the design and development meetings to provide early input on the testability of functional requirements and product designs.
• Manage the final quality on production release, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and successful deployment.
• Analyze test results, identify trends in software defects, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Advocate for the end-user, ensuring that user experience and functionality meet their needs and expectations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role, with a track record of leading QA processes in software development projects.
• Expertise in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit) to design and implement automated tests.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including experience in agile and scrum methodologies.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors, and effectively communicate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Understanding of coding and scripting for testing purposes, with experience in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify, isolate, and track bugs systematically.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Startup experience is preferred, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
