Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant will manage the financial infrastructure of Highwinds, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and timely financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

In Short

• Generate and send invoices to partners weekly.
• Process outbound payouts every Friday.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue balances.
• Process payroll for employees and contractors on schedule.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.
• Execute month-end close and categorize transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain QuickBooks hygiene.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or staff accounting experience.
• Strong command of QuickBooks Online.
• Experience managing high-volume A/P and A/R.
• Familiarity with US accounting standards.
• Detail-oriented and proactive communicator.
• Bonus: experience in affiliate marketing or financial services.
• Bonus: experience with APIs or automation tools.
