Transport Associate - Remote

Overview

The Transport Associate is responsible for transporting patients, medical records, mail, specimens, and equipment/materials throughout Allegheny General Hospital.

In Short

• Transports inpatients and outpatients within the facility.
• Delivers equipment/materials and specimens to requesting departments.
• Serves as a Hospital ambassador providing information and direction to patients and visitors.
• Ensures transportation equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
• Minimum proficiency in customer service.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills to maintain working relationships.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• CPR Certification required by specified date for incumbents.

Requirements

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• High degree of problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience in customer service.
