Overview

The Research Associate for Tissue Collection is responsible for monitoring clinic and surgery schedules, traveling to collection sites to retrieve tissue from consented patients, and ensuring proper preservation and processing of biological specimens.

• Monitor clinic and operating room schedules.
• Travel to collection sites to retrieve surgically resected tissue.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• HIPAA training and experience with confidential patient matters.
• Preferred 2 years’ experience in cryopreservation.
• 2 years using an electronic database.
• Experience in tissue dissection.
