Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS/MQ - Remote

Overview

This position is a member of the Mainframe Systems Support team and will primarily be accountable for ensuring a highly available mainframe system, requiring a solid understanding of mainframe subsystems in a large-scale IBM zEnterprise environment.

In Short

• Install, upgrade, and manage CICS/MQ environments in all test and production LPARs.
• Monitor the health of the CICS/MQ environments and troubleshoot issues.
• Support the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment using various utilities.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
• Build alerting and automation scripts.
• Research and assess new technology for potential deployment.
• Conduct change inspections and determine associated risks.
• Work on a flexible schedule that includes infrastructure releases and on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in technical solutions and production support.
• 3 years of technical problem solving and team collaboration experience.
• Familiarity with z/OS concepts, RACF, TSO, and JCL.
• Ability to adapt to diverse tasks and projects.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Comfortable with a range of data tools and technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
• Demonstrated capability to drive innovation with efficiency.
• Understanding of backup and recovery concepts.
