Cardiac Monitor Technician - Full Time - Remote

Overview

The Cardiac Monitor Technician is responsible for the continuous observation, interpretation, and communication of cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.

In Short

• Analyze and interpret ECG rhythms.
• Maintain continuous assessment of ECG rhythm at central monitor.
• Identify changes and report to the RN as appropriate.
• Clean and maintain telemetry monitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of central station and bedside monitors.
• Ensure alarms are maintained at appropriate levels.
• Perform unit specific duties such as video monitoring.
• Work full-time steady nights (36 hours per week).
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Comply with HIPAA and data security guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 to 3 months of related experience or training.
• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred EMS or CMA diploma/training.
