Cardiac Monitor Technician - Float Pool - Full Time - Remote

Overview

The Cardiac Monitor Technician is responsible for the continuous observation, interpretation, and communication of cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under the supervision of the RN.

In Short

• Performs continuous assessment of ECG rhythms.
• Maintains and cleans telemetry monitors.
• Identifies changes in cardiac rhythms and reports to RN.
• Demonstrates knowledge of central station and bedside monitors.
• Ensures alarms are set at appropriate levels.
• Conducts video monitoring and order entry.
• Adheres to compliance and ethical standards.
• Must have basic cardiac dysrhythmia training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required upon hire.

Requirements

• Minimum High school diploma or GED.
• 1 to 3 months of related experience or training.
• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or course completion upon hire.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred EMS or CMA diploma/training/experience.
