PMO Manager - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a PMO Manager to establish and oversee project governance, ensure smooth execution of data-driven projects, and drive operational efficiency. This role will focus on standardizing processes, optimizing resource allocation, and enabling project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

In Short

• Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Define project governance structures, ensuring compliance with internal standards and client expectations.
• Establish and maintain documentation, templates, and reporting mechanisms for consistent project execution.
• Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies across multiple data consultancy engagements.
• Ensure project teams adhere to timelines, budgets, and deliverable quality standards.
• Implement and track KPIs for project success and operational performance.
• Work closely with project managers and leadership to allocate resources effectively.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Lead a team of 5-6 senior project managers.
• Fluency in Hungarian and English is required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a PMO role within a consulting, data, or technology-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
• Ability to standardize and optimize project workflows for scalability and efficiency.
• Experience with project management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in tracking KPIs and reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of data analytics, AI, or digital transformation projects is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma) are preferred but not required.
• Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be based in Hungary or have the legal right to work in Hungary.
