The Mortgage Loan Originator qualifies and originates mortgage loan applicants, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and conducting business development activities.

In Short

• Qualifies and originates loan applicants for various mortgage products.
• Conducts business development activities with Realtors and Builders.
• Provides service to existing mortgage loan customers.
• Facilitates the closing process for mortgage loans.
• Works online leads shifts as assigned.
• Participates in required BSA training.
• Maintains knowledge of real estate products and mortgage lending industry.
• Assists retail lending department as needed.
• Demonstrates accountability and ownership in the role.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet NMLS requirements for MLO’s.
• 4-year degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years’ experience in mortgage loan originations or real estate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with computer skills, including MS Office.
• Ability to present information effectively.
• Respect for confidentiality of customer data.
