Overview

As a Tax Staff at HCVT, you will engage in preparing tax returns and addressing complex business issues while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.

In Short

• Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns and related work papers.
• Respond to correspondences from taxing authorities.
• Identify and propose strategies for accounting and income tax issues.
• Conduct tax technical research as needed.
• Perform self-review of work.
• Utilize firm tax software for knowledge sharing and service enhancement.
• Communicate job status effectively with the engagement team.
• Complete projects within timelines and budget guidelines.
• Develop relationships with firm professionals.
• Participate in trainings and firm activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to complete a degree between December 2025 – June 2026.
• Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0.
• Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or another accounting organization.
• Strong technical aptitude and communication skills.
• Leadership skills with problem-solving abilities.
• Able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
• Can work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• High attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and team player mentality.
