Engineering Manager - Web Presence Team - Remote

Overview

The Web Presence team is a hybrid group of designers and engineers who are responsible for delivering high-quality web experiences that support HashiCorp’s go-to-market efforts. This includes a variety of websites like hashicorp.com, developer.hashicorp.com, and more. For many of HashiCorp’s customers and users, the Web Presence team delivers their first experience with the company so it’s crucial we set high standards.

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who is passionate about enabling users and the developer experience, growing and mentoring their team, and delivering valuable business results.

We want someone who cares about their team members and communicates with humility, curiosity, and kindness. Someone who is comfortable and experienced working with other teams, including design, product managers, and technical writers. Someone who understands the importance of documentation and enjoys leading large-scale projects with ambiguity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in web development.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience leading large, multi-stakeholder web projects.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js.
• Familiarity with Vercel, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Comfortable with AWS, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience integrating 3rd party services.
• Understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
