Assistant Controller - EMEA (EU Remote)

Overview

As the Assistant Controller – EMEA at Gurobi Optimization, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations for the company’s European operations, specifically focusing on Germany. You will support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensure compliance with local financial regulations, and drive improvements in internal controls and financial processes.

• Maintain full responsibility for accounting close and reporting for Gurobi European operations.
• Perform transfer pricing calculations and manage intercompany transactions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and requirements.
• Support third-party specialists with tax compliance submissions.
• Lead the transformation of the statutory financial reporting process.
• Oversee cash flow projections and provide strategic recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with German tax regulations.
• Manage cash disbursements of the GmbH entity.
• Contribute to the global budgeting and forecasting process.
• Assist in the management of financial systems and ERP software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finance and accounting experience.
• Proficiency in German accounting standards (HGB) and US GAAP.
• Experience with German tax regulations and VAT compliance.
• Experience with international business and consolidations.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Chartered accountant, CPA, or equivalent certification.
• Fluency in German and English.
