Senior Google Cloud Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Google Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and securing our customers Google Cloud and Google Cloud SecOps infrastructure. This includes developing cloud strategies, engineering cloud solutions, and ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of a Google Cloud and Google Cloud SecOps environment.

• Engineering Google Cloud environments with a “security first” mindset
• Collaborates with IT security teams to implement and secure cloud resources
• Implement scalable and resilient cloud solutions within Google Cloud
• Ensures security operations implementation of Google SecOps features
• Ingest and configure logs into Google SecOps
• Strong understanding of UDM and YARAL 2.0
• Implement migration strategies for local on-premises hosted environment to Google Cloud
• Develop and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
• Ensure systems meet high availability design principles
• Collaborate with software developers and system administrators

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience in enterprise cloud engineering
• Professional certification in Google Cloud required
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies
• Proficient in Google services including Compute, BigQuery, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with cloud security and networking best practices
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to solve technical and operational problems
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and lead presentations
