The IT Security Manager leads day-to-day security operations at Great Minds, a mission-driven education company supporting approximately 1,100 employees who build curriculum that reaches millions of students.

• Lead the execution of Great Minds' Zero Trust security roadmap.
• Manage and improve the NIST /CMMC security program.
• Oversee threat and vulnerability management operations.
• Lead incident response efforts and manage vendor risk.
• Develop security metrics and dashboards for IT leadership.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure & Operations for security integration.
• Provide guidance on AI security and data governance.
• Manage a team of security professionals.
• Assist in developing information security policies and procedures.
• Serve as a trusted security advisor across the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience with 5 years in information security.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security tools like Okta and Zscaler.
• Experience with Zero Trust security models.
• Strong knowledge of NIST/CMMC and related frameworks.
• Proficiency in vulnerability management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience developing security policies and procedures.
• Comfortable in Windows and Mac environments.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and travel occasionally.
