Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled data governance subject matter expert with a strong background in customer marketing and commerce functional areas to join our enterprise data governance team at Gap Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for prioritization of the business value use cases and enablement of data driven insights/decisions.

In Short

  • Articulate and apply data strategy principles to complex business problems.
  • Drive workshops to understand business use cases and facilitate solutions.
  • Lead implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
  • Oversee data governance forums for effective outcomes.
  • Build a customer, loyalty, and marketing business metrics library.
  • Identify data sources and monitor controls and data quality frameworks.
  • Define business functional data quality rules for core metrics.
  • Support transformation programs for customer loyalty.
  • Optimize data hierarchy structures and lead enrichment initiatives.
  • Influence teams to adapt data governance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data stewardship or analytics, preferably in retail.
  • Strong understanding of customer domain master and metadata.
  • Hands-on experience with data governance tools like Collibra and Alation.
  • Knowledge of applications such as Stibo, Profisee, and Informatica.
  • Ability to present in front of C-Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills to make recommendations.
