Overview

GEICO is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Security Tooling who is a highly skilled security leader that will streamline the secure design, testing, and implementation of advanced and comprehensive tooling to support a frictionless application and services deployment lifecycle.

• Lead a team of security engineers and developers.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive application and product security tooling roadmap.
• Collaborate with engineering and product management to integrate security into the SDLC.
• Oversee validation and prioritization of vulnerabilities.
• Enhance security awareness and train staff in secure coding practices.
• Establish metrics for measuring team status and effectiveness.
• Respond to security incidents and provide post-mortem analysis.
• Advise technology leadership on product security tooling advancements.
• Stay updated on security legislation and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure the security and integrity of applications and systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in application or product security.
• 7 years in a managerial position.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., OWASP, SANS, NIST).
• Experience with secure coding practices and ethical hacking.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, C++, etc.
• Understanding of application development lifecycle methodologies.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Security-related certifications are a plus.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in related field preferred.
