Overview

Gore Mutual’s Personal Insurance Underwriting team is growing, and we are looking to add new team members to our National Operations Centre. Our Underwriters deliver genuine personal service to our brokers, listen carefully to understand their needs, and create tailored solutions blending the needs of the customer with profitable underwriting results.

In Short

• Underwrite and assess complex personal lines risks.
• Maintain strong broker relationships.
• Provide technical advice and mentoring to team members.
• Manage phone queues for underwriting transactions.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service to brokers.
• Represent Gore at industry and broker events.
• Underwrite risks within assigned authority to drive profitability.
• Work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of underwriting experience in personal insurance.
• CIP designation or working towards it preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
