Regulatory Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations for Pet Food/Supplement products, evaluating and approving contract manufacturers, reviewing product labeling, and maintaining product registrations.

• Ensure compliance with AAFCO, state, NASC, and other regulations.
• Maintain accurate product registrations.
• Review marketing materials for compliance.
• Create and maintain product specifications.
• Develop SOPs related to regulatory compliance.
• Conduct audits of contract manufacturers.
• Support product complaint investigations.
• Monitor changes in the regulatory environment.
• Provide counsel on regulatory requirements.
• Support international market compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, AAFCO, and GMP.
• 2-5+ years of regulatory experience in the pet food space.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment.
• Ability to adapt to changes.
