Finance Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Finance Coordinator is an integral member of the Finance Team, responsible for managing accounts payable, reconciling records, and supporting audits while working remotely in a mission-driven organization.

In Short

• 100% remote position with required overlap of 5 hours EST.
• Reports to Senior Director of Finance.
• Focus on accounts payable and receivable management.
• Maintaining financial records and verifying program expenditures.
• Assist with month-end closing and audits.
• Document processes and train staff on financial systems.
• 2 years of experience in accounting required.
• BA or BS in Accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Requirements

• Daily management of accounts payable inbox.
• Timely entry of transactions in Accounts Payable system.
• Setup and maintenance of vendor profiles.
• Generate aging reports for accounts payable and receivable.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain logs.
• Assist with financial accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Support staff with expense reimbursement platforms.
• Monthly review of credit card reports and expense categorization.
• Assist in preparation of annual audits.
• Document processes and develop training tools for staff.
