Overview

The Service Release Engineer for GM Defense plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and readiness of service parts for defense vehicles. This position involves working closely with engineering teams and managing service part releases to support customer satisfaction and business growth.

In Short

  • Lead service parts management for GM Defense vehicles.
  • Conduct Design Change Release (DCR) analyses.
  • Maintain the Provisioning Parts List (PPL).
  • Provide service inputs to the Master Parts List (MPL).
  • Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams.
  • Support field inquiries regarding part numbers.
  • Ensure compliance with ITAR regulations.
  • Participate in program engineering meetings.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Eligible for U.S. Security Clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with GM SEO functions is a plus.
  • Understanding of DoD and military program management.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be a U.S. Person or eligible for export control authorization.
