Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in BI technologies, database design, and data modeling to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and maintain data models that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

In Short

Collaborate with business and technical SMEs to understand data consumption and reporting needs.
Analyze source system data structures and map them to customer requirements and data elements.
Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical schemas for data layers.
Design and implement data mappings between source systems and a common data model.
Coordinate with ETL specialists for data mappings and transformation rules.
Manage data model version control across environments.
Work closely with offshore teams to support deliverables.
Ensure data quality and integrity for business intelligence requirements.
Strong expertise in data modeling and database development.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus.

Requirements

8-10 years of experience in data modeling and database design.
Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Hands-on experience with SQL, Oracle, or appliance databases.
Strong knowledge of ETL, data quality, and reporting solutions.
Familiarity with version control and data governance best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Cloud experience with Azure or AWS is a plus.
