Overview

The Community Engagement Coordinator will support GiveDirectly’s work with the Rural Guaranteed Income Program, focusing on outreach and enrollment for eligible applicants in Warren County, MS.

In Short

• Support outreach for eligible applicants in Warren County, MS.
• Verify applicant eligibility for the program.
• Assist applicants in application and enrollment both virtually and in person.
• Provide information and support to community partners regarding the program.
• Use tools to help applicants make informed decisions.
• Engage applicants throughout the application process.
• Conduct local travel for in-person activities.
• Work within a project-based, part-time schedule (up to 29 hours per week).
• Must reside in or plan to reside in Warren County, MS.
• Demonstrate alignment with GiveDirectly's values.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience in customer service or client-facing roles is preferred.
• Technological literacy, including proficiency in Excel.
• Fast learner with the ability to understand program complexities.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Local travel is required.
