Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

Wavestream is seeking a self-starter accounting clerk with experience in a manufacturing environment to join our team, focusing on data entry and processing AR, AP transactions, and other bookkeeping functions.

In Short

• Prepare daily customer invoices and monitor AR aging.
• Drive the vendor payment process and initiate check-runs in SAP.
• Perform 3-way match control for vendor invoices.
• Record daily banking activities and reconcile cash to the general ledger.
• Record journal entries using appropriate GL coding.
• Execute transactions in a SOX environment.
• Perform reconciliation functions and report discrepancies.
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate filing of accounting records.
• Perform other ad hoc functions as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in A/P, A/R, and bookkeeping.
• Moderate proficiency in SAP and MS programs.
• Basic Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to multi-task in an unstructured environment.
• Collaborative team player.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Able to work at a desk for at least 40 hours a week.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and climb stairs.
