Overview

Giffen Consulting Ltd. is looking for Structural Design Contractors to assist our engineering team with a focus on mining and heavy industrial projects.

In Short

Providing structural design and drafting support.
Develop 3D models using Advanced Steel and integration into RISA.
Prepare drawings for reinforced concrete and structural steel.
Analyze designs of structures while adhering to guidelines.
Interpreting complex drawings involving multiple disciplines.
Prepare material take-offs.
Review and perform quality checks of project documents.
Provide input on tendering and contract administration.
Write and review technical reports and specifications.
Collaborate with vendors, clients, and stakeholders.

Requirements

Diploma in Structural Engineering Technology or equivalent.
7+ years of experience as a Structural Designer in Mining/Heavy Industrial Projects.
Familiar with greenfield and brownfield projects.
Experience in Structural, Concrete, and Plant Layout Design.
Familiar with structural BIM and analysis software.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
