Verification Engineer – Charging - Remote

Overview

The Verification Engineer – Charging will support in-vehicle testing and software verification within GM’s Vehicle Mechatronic Embedded Controls Electrification Verification group, playing a critical role in validating electrification systems.

In Short

• Conduct in-vehicle testing of electrification and charging systems.
• Perform both planned and exploratory verification activities.
• Collaborate with calibration, software/algorithm, and controls engineering teams.
• Utilize serial data tools (e.g., CAN, LIN) for diagnostics.
• Contribute to development and automation of test procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement in software quality and verification processes.
• Execute manual and automated test scripts for EV charging features.
• Document defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Adhere to safety protocols in all work activities.
• Publish engineering reports in Global Docs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related.
• 4+ years of Automotive SW Test or Development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with tools like INCA, MDA, CANalyzer.
• High-voltage vehicle safety training.
• Technical writing skills for engineering reports.
• Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Experience in electrification, calibration, or controls.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and test automation.
• Strong project leadership and complex problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MPG advanced driver training.
