Mechanical Journeyperson (Pipefitter) - Remote

Overview

A Journeyperson Pipefitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems to improve functionality.

In Short

• Install and maintain mechanical piping systems.
• Use various tools for measuring and assembling pipes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Operate CNC machine tools for fabricating parts.
• Follow safety procedures according to OSHA standards.
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ensure quality of finished products using measuring instruments.
• Maintain and repair industrial machinery components.
• Experience with robotics and automation is preferred.
• Must pass GM hiring process including assessments and background checks.

Requirements

• At least six years of related experience in a mechanical trade.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment comfortably.
• Physical ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs.
• Must complete safety training and follow OSHA standards.
• Must have a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in a mechanical trade (optional).
• Quick response to safety instructions is essential.
• Comfortable navigating a busy work environment.
