Part-Time Family Medicine and Podiatry Coder - Remote

Overview

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking a part-time, remote Family Medicine and Podiatry Coder to deliver high-quality E/M coding services. In this role, you will review medical charts and assign CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 codes for both inpatient and outpatient pro-fee primary care encounters.

In Short

• Part-time remote position requiring approximately 5 hours of work per week.
• Review medical charts and assign appropriate coding.
• Focus on Family Medicine and Podiatry coding.
• Must hold a current CPC or equivalent credential.
• Minimum of 3 years' E/M coding experience required.
• Exceptional attention to detail with at least a 95% accuracy rate.
• Prefer proficiency in EMR systems, especially EPIC.
• Responsibilities include coding for vaccines, skin procedures, and annual wellness visits.
• Experience coding nursing home rounds and pre-op physicals is a plus.
• Flexible working hours.

Requirements

• Current CPC or equivalent through the AAPC or AHIMA required.
• CEMC preferred, but not required.
• 3+ years coding experience in primary care settings.
• Experience coding rural clinics of EM visits and in-office procedures.
• Experience must include coding for vaccines, skin procedures, and foot care.
• Ability to maintain high quality in virtual work.
